Repurposed 9ct. Yellow Gold Family Ring

Gillian’s aunt gave her a very old ring with a flower design. Gillian was not overly fond of the ring itself but she loved her aunt and wanted to wear it. She came to Sam because she wanted to repurpose the ring into something more contemporary that suited her style. She had a particular finger she wanted to wear the ring on, other than that, Gillian gave Sam quite a lot of free reign with her designs. Sam looked at a few of Gillian’s other rings and jewellery pieces and got a sense of direction for Gillian’s style. Gillian wanted more of an unusual and unique ring so Sam created a few different options, Gillian fell in love with a design and Sam handmade her perfect ring.

Materials: 18ct Yellow Gold and brilliant cut diamonds.

Repurposing Your Own Metal: Typically, if you have gold you want to repurpose it is melted down and refined in huge quantities, meaning your gold is mixed with others.
